Day 49 - Morro Bay, Paso Robles

I can't believe it took 49 days to get here. That's insanity!

In the tidepools, hermit crabs race about on Cyber Monday.

And barnacle clouds race across the sky.

Seaweed that can pose as a delicate piece of jewelry.

Come on - throw it! I've been waiting a long time for this.

As we've often noted: There ain't nuthin' like a day at the beach.

The homestead windmill still turns for no good reason.

There's no good reason for this activity, neither.

And I really have no idea what this activity even is.

But we are intimately familiar with this activity. Great coffee - the Rock rocks.

The sun is dipping for the horizon, and so is the temperature at Morro Bay - time to finish up our afternoon coffees.

Morro Bay's glorious incinerators proudly pierce the skyline at sunset.

As the historic fishing fleet sets to sea.

The seagulls show up for their ritual supervision of the departure of the fishing fleet.

One of the many submarine racers in town for the big weekend Grand Prix event.

Tonight's choice for dinner on the main square in Paso Robles. Wonderful bites - and the best twist I've ever seen or tasted on a pumpkin pie.

The festive season is definitely in gear.

What Christmas might look like if Santa were a dog.

Could be a Joshua Tree completely out of control. Even Joshuas need to let loose every now and then.

Globes o' fire light the night.

Just plain globes and lights decorate the patio at Hotel Cheval.
